So for months and months, I’ve been procrastinating on building out my niche site.

I’ve selected my niche that has both smaller sites ranking for lower traffic, and huge behemoth sites that get millions of page views every month.

I’ve done all the keyword research, site structure plan, etc. But I just can’t get myself to start writing articles.

I believe I can enter the niche market with my website and grow it to gain millions of page views per month eventually as well.

But first thing’s first, I need to nail procrastination on the head and I’m first going to follow along with Darius Foroux’s course on Procrastinate Zero 2 and complete it.

I plan on starting this course today and complete it by the weekend.

I fantasize about having my own successful Authority niche website nearly every minute of the day, quitting my job and working on it full-time.

Some of my fears are paralysing… and I end up playing Battlefield V, or Project CARS 2 with my Thrustmaster wheel I got with my tax return and I’m filled with such negative energy while doing this, and to alleviate the mental pain, I say “I’ll do it tomorrow.”

So enough of that, I’m not getting any younger, Rach is not getting any younger, my PARENTS are nearly 70(!) and I want to live my life on MY terms and spend more time with them.

So, the first thing I’m doing is to stop this madness and here I am. I’m writing here. Like Jerry Seinfeld did to be successful: Everyday, just show up and don’t stop the chain. Even if it’s only for 30 minutes – keep going – don’t stop the chain.

So here goes, I really don’t know what I’m doing but I’m just gonna start…

The first exercise – Procrastinate Zero Self-Assessment

  1. Do you have your emotions, thoughts, and mood under control? 1=out of control / 10= fully in control 3
  2. Do you know what direction your life is heading? 1=I don’t have a clue / 10=I know exactly where I’m going 3
  3. How often do you get 7-9 hours of sleep? 1=never / 10=every day 7
  4. How often do you get 30 minutes of exercise? 1=never / 10=every day 9
  5. How well do you watch your diet? 1=I eat and drink what I want / 10=I’m in control of what I eat and drink 2
  6. How good is your focus? 1=Can’t focus for more than 5 minutes / 10=I’m never distracted when I work on task 2
  7. How well in control are you of your day? 1=I go with the flow and react to everything / 10=I set my agenda, and I stick to it 100% 2
  8. How often do you use your note-taking apps? 1=Never / 10=I write down everything I have to remember or do 3
  9. How often do you use your calendar to plan your days? 1=I hate calendars / 10=I live and die by my calendar 1
  10. How would you describe your persuasion skills? 1=I can’t even persuade a dog to like me / 10=I know my way with people 1

Add up your scores and see where you rank:

  • 0-30: You can only go up from here.
  • 30-60: You’re kind of getting results, but it’s nowhere close to your potential.
  • 60-70: You’re on the way to getting more stuff done.
  • 70-85: You’re more productive than average.
  • 85-95: You’re an all-out achiever.
  • 95-100: Superhuman

So 3 + 3 + 7 + 9 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1

= 33

30-60: You’re kind of getting results, but it’s nowhere close to your potential.”

That’s surprisingly pretty much spot on.
